MAJOR ON GOING SCHEMES

1. Baragoan Nandur &14 villagesTal.Rahuri, Dist.Ahmednagar

Baragoan nandur & 14 villages are situated in Rahuri Taluka ofAhmednagar District; The R. R. Water Supply scheme for these 15 villages is Administratively Approved on. 1/8/97 and further technically sanctioned by the Chief Engineer, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Nashik on 18/12/97 for the estimated cost of Rs. 1945.20 lakhs. To solve the water Supply problem an assured source of Backwater storage of Mula dam is adopted. The scheme is designed for year 2031 to supply water at the rate of 55 lpcd. with gross water demand as 8.90Mld.The raw water will be lifted from Mula dam Major Irrigation Storage to 16.70 MLD capacity water treatment plant.

The treated water will be stored in Master balancing reservoirs from where the individual elevated service reservoirs will be filled to supply water to the different Villages included in the scheme through network of distribution system in the villages.

The work of scheme is allotted to M/s. Petron Civil Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Pune

An expenditure of Rs 1521.34.lakhs has been incurred up to Sept. 2002.

This scheme is commissioned and handed over to ZP Ahmadnager for maintenance & repairs

2. Miri-Tisgoan & 22 villages WSS Tal Pathardi, Dist. Ahmednagar.

Miri Tisgaon & 22 villages are situated in Pathardi, Taluka of Ahmednagar District; This scheme for these 24 villages is Administratively Approved on 4/2/98 and further technically sanctioned by the Chief Engineer on 1/1/99 for the estimated cost of Rs. 3158.98 lakhs. To solve the water Supply problem an assured source of Back water storage of Mula dam is adopted. The scheme is designed for year 2031 to supply water at the rate of 55 lpcd. & gross demand is 4.14 Mld.

The raw water will be lifted from Mula dam Major Irrigation Storage to 7.54 MLD capacity water treatment plant. The treated water will be stored in Master balancing reservoirs from where the individual elevated service reservoirs will be filled to supply water to the different villages included in the scheme through network of distribution system.

The work of scheme is allotted to M/s .Tapi Prestressed Pvt. Ltd. Bhusaval .An expenditure of Rs.1809.31 lakhs has been incurred up to Sept. 2002.

Now the scheme is included in HUDCO BLOCK 1 financial assistance & efforts are being made to complete the work of scheme by March 2003

3. Ghogargaon & 10 villages, Tal. Newasa,Dist.Ahmednagar.

Ghogargaon & 10 villages are situated in Newasa Taluka of Ahmednagar District in the “ V ” area formed near the confluence of Godawari & Pravara rivers and are located at the tail end of back water of Jayakwadi dam storage.

The scheme is administratively approved on. 2.4.98 and further technically sanctioned by the Chief Engineer on. 20.11.98 for the estimated cost of Rs. 671.72 lakhs.

To solve the water supply problem an assured source of Backwater storage of Jayakwadi dam near Washim (old village) is adopted. The scheme is designed for year 2031 to supply water at the rate of 55 lpcd with gross water demand as 1.96 MLD

The raw water will be lifted from Jayakwadi Major Irrigation storage to 3 MLD capacity water treatment plant. The treated water will be stored in master balancing reservoirs from where the individual elevated service reservoirs will be filled to supply water to the Villages in the scheme through distribution system in the villages.

The work of the scheme is allotted to M/s Petron Civil Engg. Pvt. Ltd.

Revised scheme is recently approved & technically sanctioned for Rs. 770.00 lakhs. An expenditure of Rs. 634.43 lakhs has been incurred up to Sept. 02. Now the scheme is included in HUDCO Block I financial assistance & efforts are being made to complete the work of scheme by March 2003.
